Special Morning Surprise from Singapore
Just before 9am this morning 24th August 2010 while I was making the bed, Tony came into the room with a parcel on in hand. I took it from him and stared at the parcel for a few minutes as I was wondering who could have sent this parcel. I turned the parcel over and saw this very familar name: Katherine Chai . She is my closest friend and my confidant in Singapore that sent this parcel. It was neatly wrapped up. Tony commented that this parcel was the neatiest parcel that he has ever seen. I took the parcel to the kitchen and kept looking at it especially the lovely and touching message that Katherine has written on the back of the parcel. This was her lovely message:
The message just warmed my lonely heart, my eyes became teary and I can't wait to call Katherine to express my thanks...it was her thought that made me good that brighten up the start of the day. Somehow I feel that I was not lonely anymore. Last few days, I felt very lonely and home-sick and was in very foul mood...my son ignored me after I scolded him and was feeling very miserable after what I did, albeit I have apologized twice to my son.
Thank you, Katherine! I feel much better now after calling you and chatted for that few minutes. Wish we could have chat longer, I need a pair of listening ears. Up to date, there is noone I can confide in at Auckland which I have been bottling it all up. Katherine, your warm and friendly voice was so soothing and I really miss that. I wish I have friend like you in Auckland.
