Forever New

Oh dear.. I am so in love with this label "Forever New".Last Sunday, we went for a movie at St Luke's shopping mall after the movie we decided to walk around the mall. Very naturally when we saw this "Forever New", we walked in without fail. The collection is very so appealing and always attracts a lot of ladies like me, and even Tony to pop in to have a look at what's their latest collection.

Tony picked a Silk Oriental Kimono for me while a Jersey Stripe Maxi caught my eyes. Added 3 new pieces to my "Forever New" Collection. In total, now I have 9 pieces from this label and soon my wardrobe will transform into mini "Forever New" collection.  

Mid-Winter's Shopping Spree

Late Friday's night, Tony decided to cancel this golf session on Saturday as the weather forecast that there will be heavy rain. He decided to bring me shopping, I have to decide  where to shop. As we do not want to travel far, as the weather was cold. We opted to go to Newmarket to do our shopping. There is a Farmer Department store which we wanted to buy more duvet cover and bedsheets and there is also a "Forever New" boutique in Westfield Shopping Centre which I wanted to look a dress in the new Spring/Summer's Collection  which I saw at the window display in their boutique in Sylvia Park last Wednesday doing my Stocktake  which was inappropriate for me to try while at work.

We went to Farmer to get our bedsheets and duvet cover, subsequently we went over to the  Forever New boutique. There are only 2 boutique in New Zealand-Newmarket and Slyvia Park. This is one of my favorite brand in New Zealand apart from Max boutique, this is brand is from Australia, they have nice and trendy collection with nice pastel shades. It is far different from the rest of the retail shops selling dark shades of colours-black, charcoal and grey. On top of that, their prices are quite reasonable. 

In the end the, that dress that I was eyeing for does not suit me at all. Prior to winter, I have been looking around for either a cape or a military style coat for this winter. The search has been fruitless. Until yesterday at Forever New, I found one that has the 2 elements I was searching for. I fell in love immediately and by hook or crook I must get it. This military stye cape is beautiful, as there are much much sizes left, I have to settled for a size bigger because I can't give myself a good reason not to get it. The Spring/Summer's collection-Sunset Boulevard a retro inspired florals is just too tempting..to give it a miss. In the In the end, I gota another Garden Fora Kaftan. 

On the way back, we walked past Ecco's shoes shop Tony popped in. There are alot of boots, he wanted to try on some boots while he tried on his golf shoes. He is a fan of Ecco as he believed that they are great shoes. I was introduced to this brand last year when I was in Sydney and bought a pair of their canvas. It was indeed comfortable and of good quality.  The 1st pair of boots that caught my attention was also the one that I got in the end after trying on more than 6 pairs of boots in the shop. One pair of boots for me and a pair of golf shoes for him.

Then further down the road, another shoes shop caught Tony's attention because of the crowd in the shop. A funky ankle's boot looking very comfy with an attractive price tag called out to me to try it on though I don't have the intention to buy anymore after spending close to a K in a day. It was so comfy, this is probably the most comfortable pair of shoes after 1st try. It was so irresistible, Tony said that I should shout (buy) myself this pair as he has shouted everything I got today. After hesitating for awhile, (not because of the price, I have too many pairs of shoes here that I hardly had any more room) I said "Sure". In the end, he picked up the tab as he has a changed of heart. :) Thank you, Tony!

Botany Town Centre

Tony got me a perfume from Melbourne Airport when he returned home. It was Burberry Weekend. It was a nice fragrance is which really suitable for "Weekends" use.  He has got me alot of stuffs eversince I was with me so my birthday (which I was back in SG) and Valentine's Day, I have reminded him not to buy me anythings. I have lot of things and a new camera and a Iphone were what I wanted to get and which he has got both of them for me as a Christmas gifts. I am more than a satisfied woman now. Neither did I expect he would get me a perfume after his selling trip, he being him is always so nice, thoughtful and romantic.

I decided to reciprocate by buying a gift for him too. I have been in Auckland for more than half a year, and has never been on their train before. Last night, I told him that I wanted to try using their train to go to Sylvia Park Shopping Mall. I checked on the website and the frequency is an hour for a train and was clueless where to do the connection and could not find a train map of the city. Tony was against it as he is worried that I might get lost in return and said that since he has got a car for me I should use that instead. In the end, this morning I went to Botany Town Centre by car instead of Sylvia Park though it is further away. I was at Botany town Centre for stocktake last week, I lost my way there though I used the GPS. I was confident of getting there today after being lost last week. I managed to get there though got to a wrong turn. I reached there at 9am which all the stores were still closed. The opening hours of the city is 10 am on a Sunday. I hang around there till they were opened at 10am. While waiting, I was snapping some photos of this town centre.

I found a Windbreaker from Columbia and I think that it would be an ideal gift. Autumn is around the corner and he plays quite a lot of golf under windy condition. This will prevent him from getting cold, I realised that he gets cold easily which is very untypical of a Kiwi. I know that when I present him this, this would be his answer "He has everything in life and I should not have waste money in  buying this for him!" Hahaha...

After buying him the jacket, I decided to reward myself too, as me being a woman does not want to leave the shopping mall empty handed...got myself a causal dress from Max which is ideal for Autumn.  I am now a happy woman after spending money! I have left this gift on the bed waiting for him to be back from his golf.

Factory Outlet Mall in Auckland-DRESS SMART

Tony brought me to this outlet mall-Dress Smart Outlet Mall in Onehunga 2 weeks ago after we returned from Hawai'i. He never shopped or never believed in outlet mall until our trip in Hawai'i which I brought him to Waikele Premium Shopping Outlet. It was then he discovered the saving we have got over at an outlet mall. The mall in Auckland may not be as big as in Hawai'i but you can still able to get a lot of bargain there. You can find quality national and international brands with up to 70% off normal retails everyday. It has a diverse mix of womem's, men's and children's clothing, jewellery, sportwear and general merchandise. So tempted by the saving, last week I went there again alone without Tony so that I can shop at my own sweettime (as you know men are not patient creature when comes to shopping). The brands out there includes Espirit, Polo Ralph Lauren (Shop Name-Aspect Lifestyle which has relocated between K and K Fashions and Cotton On), Max, Levi, Nike, Adidas, Overland footwear, etc. You can check it out here.
