My Mum's Recipe of Miso Mince Pork with Mushroom

Ingredients:
350g Mince Pork/other desired meat of your choice
4 Cloves of Garlic, finely chopped
5 Mushrooms, cut into slices
2 ½ Teaspoon of Miso Paste
1 Teaspoon of Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Dark Soy Sauce
125ml of Water
2 Tablespoon of Oil

1. Heat up the oil in a skillet on medium heat. Brown the garlic.

2. Put in the mince pork and fry it for 2 minutes in high heat. Add in the sliced mushrooms and fry for a further 1 minute.

3. Add in the water, Miso paste, Sugar and Dark Soy Sauce. Mix well.
Serving on rice
 4. When it boils, reduce heat to medium-low cover and simmer for half an hour.. Stir occasionally. (Mum advised me to transfer the mixture into a clay-pot to simmer it as she said the clay pot will seal the favour of this dish and make it tastes nicer.)

5. Once the gravy thickened, you are ready to serve. It is best on rice or to eat it with plain porridge.

Mother, thank you for the recipe. Tony simply love it!
