Simple White Cake for Tony's Birthday

I decorated the cake...Happy Birthday, Tony!
Tomorrow is Tony's birthday. Actually, I wanted to buy a cake and celebrate with him (Cos I am not confident in making complicated birthday cake and at the same time some cake recipes called for ingredients that I don't seem to be unable to find baker's supplies shops here) but after much thinking I decided to bake a simple cake for him instead. Guess it is the thoughts that count. Found this simple white cake recipe at allrecipes.com. I am celebrating with him today and tomorrow...Happy Birthday, Tony! May you be blessed with good health, wealth, joy and happiness!

Ingredients

1 Cup Of White Sugar
1/2 Cup Of Butter (115g)
2 Eggs
2 Teaspoons Of  Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 Cups Of All-purpose flour
1 3/4 Teaspoons Of  Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Of Milk

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan or line a muffin pan with paper liners.

2.In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Finally stir in the milk until batter is smooth. Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan.

3.Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. For cupcakes, bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
